The ISMA MIX18 IP (BACnet IP / Modbus TCP) is a multiprotocol I/O module designed for remote or distributed I/O over IP. This device supports both BACnet IP and Modbus TCP/IP, making it suitable for installations in new and existing facilities. Its compact design integrates various input and output types, providing a flexible controller extension for both small and large setups.
This module features five universal inputs that accommodate over 20 types of temperature sensors, as well as voltage, resistance, current, and dry contact measurements. It includes five digital inputs with dry contact capabilities for monitoring tasks and a 100 Hz fast pulse counter with an override function that stores real-time values in EEPROM memory.
The MIX18 IP also has four digital outputs with normally open 3 A relays, allowing direct control without the need for additional relays. Its four analog outputs support 0-10 V DC control with 10 mA accuracy and can handle a maximum load of up to 20 mA, suitable for various applications. The built-in Modbus gateway on the COM1 port integrates up to 128 Modbus slave devices to the IP layer.
Configuration and commissioning are straightforward, with options for BACnet, Modbus, a built-in web server, or a dedicated free tool. The module can be powered via USB for local testing and updates. Two Ethernet ports operate in switch mode, allowing daisy chaining of multiple modules over RJ45, which optimises cabling and reduces engineering time.
